Ground Work
My Ground work and training techniques are very quiet and calm. I do not use any harsh training methods. I pride myself in my gentle methods of colt starting and training.
If your horse is not ready for riding yet and is in need of ground work, I can help. I offer a 2 week and 4 week ground work training special.
My methods include teaching your horse to move away from pressure, yield it's hind quarters and fore hand, back on que, lunge for respect, driving, being ponied, pick up hooves, trail readiness, sacking out and much more. We will also work on your horse with bridling, giving to the bit and tacking up.
I also work on many other aspects of ground work. The main aspects are safety with the horses and making sure that they are safe to be around. We will make sure that they do not kick or rear, as well as not being pushy or in our space.
I suggest this training for those horses that the owners have not had the time to do all of the groundwork preparations to ready the horse for riding. If you feel that your horse might need this but are not sure we can do an evaluation for you at a minimal cost.
I also offer Pre-Purchase/Sell evaluations. These include, lameness check, trainability, any training / riding issues ect.
